The Young Author of Kavathi: How Rajvir is Writing a New Narrative

A Grade 3 Student Turns Values into a Story That Inspires

In a sun-drenched classroom at Zilla Parishad Upper Primary School, Kavathi, 9-year-old Rajvir Vinod Sapat is proving that age and geography are no barriers to profound wisdom.

Rajvir, a Grade 3 student, is a meticulous observer of life. When his teacher, Mrs Jyoti Nagarale, challenged her class to move beyond their textbooks and create something original for a school exhibition, Rajvir decided to build a world.

The Story: Honesty and Love for Animals

Behind the Pages: The Character of a Creator

What makes Rajvir’s project remarkable is his agency. Rajvir took full ownership of the production. He hand-drew every illustration, meticulously colored the front and back covers, and organised the layout so it would be "appealing to my young friends."

For Rajvir, this wasn't just an assignment; it was a mission. As he noted in his own words: "This story is not just for reading; it gives an inspiring lesson—Dream big and keep trying."

Why This Matters

Rajvir’s story is a testament to what happens when we stop asking children to repeat and start asking them to think. Through the guidance of a dedicated teacher and a curriculum that values creativity, a young boy in Kavathi has found his voice.

Rajvir is no longer just a student sitting at a desk; he is an author, an illustrator, and a leader in his community, reminding us all to keep our eyes open for "the lost wallets" and "the shivering puppies" in our own lives.

A Message from His Mentor

Rajvir used his creative intelligence to bridge the gap between imagination and morality. To see a Grade 3 student organise his thoughts with such clarity is exactly why we do this work."
