Welcome to the CEQUE India learning Week

CEQUE India Learning week celebrates efforts made by teachers and students during the pandemic to continue learning.

A virtual exhibition wall showcasing work done by over 2,500 children from government and low-income schools from Palghar, Nashik, Thane, Mumbai, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli will be displayed for week starting 10th of March, 2021.

All through COVID pandemic, CEQUE worked relentlessly with the teachers to make sure that education does not drop-off the priority list, from the lives of these school children who did not have access to study equipment and infrastructure. The NGO worked with over 300 teachers in coaching them and engaged in personalized solutions with their associated cohort of students to help continue teaching, review and assessment: even from a work-from-home / study-at-home scenario. CEQUE India Learning week attempts to showcase the efforts taken by children and their teachers, to continue their learning journey, through the pandemic.

Over 2500 artefacts have been put up in a virtual exhibition wall, along with podcasts and audio-visuals.

Elaborating on the vision of CEQUE India Learning Week, Dr. Anju Saigal, Founder and Chairperson of CEQUE, said, “CEQUE understands that it is the responsibility of each one of us to invest in creating the future generation of leaders, scholars, thinkers, doctors, researchers, architects, engineers and other eminent roles in the society. It takes a lot of effort for a child to grow into one of these roles. It is very easy for a child in a rural town to drop his pencil and pick a spade – A lot hinges on how to keep the child motivated to study and provide a culture of learning & appreciation. We at CEQUE understand that. We extend support to enable teachers to learn better so they can teach better.”

Uma Kogekar, CEO of CEQUE, added, “All through COVID pandemic, Ceque worked relentlessly with the teachers to make sure that education does not drop-off the priority list, from the lives of these school children who did not have access to study equipment and infrastructure. Today I am proud to say that CEQUE has supported teachers to bring 85% of children in the fold of learning from 35% at the start of the pandemic.

Noted Bollywood actor and director - Renuka Shahahe is the Chief Guest of Honour for the Inauguration of CEQUE India Learning Week.
